Production Introduction
Bravo’s BWFCPC-Q2272 is a new generation of modular & high density IPQAM combining TS-over-UDP/RTP input and output, transport stream re-multiplexing, scrambling, PSI/SI processing and 16/32/64/128/256 QAM modulation in an 1RU. It supports up to 224 QAM modulation channels by using Five external pluggable 32 QAM channel modules, each QAM module supporting up to Four GE interfaces. Moreover, BWFCPC-Q2256 supports 1+1 redundant & hot-swappable power supplies for high reliability and overall stability of the system. Its pay-as-you-grow modular design, flexible configuration and licensing mechanism are making the BWFCPC-Q2256 extremely scalable, very reliable with high performance, all of which are important to cable operators.


The BWFCPC-Q2272 272 in 1 IP QAM modulator is the latest generational Mux-scrambling-modulating all-in-one device developed by Bravo. It has 272 multiplexing channels, 272 scrambling channels and 272 QAM (DVB-C) modulating channels, and supports maximum 1024 IP input through the GE port and 272 non-adjacent carriers output through the RF output interface. The device is also characterized with high integrated level, high performance and low cost. This is very adaptable to newly generation CATV broadcasting system.

The BWFCPC-Q2272 enables an operator to build a remote headend in an efficient and cost-effec­tive way. The BWFCPC-Q2272 receives the programs from the master headend via IP, then multi- plexes and modulates the channels to the available QAM frequencies for local distribution. Compared to traditional local headend, BWFCPC-Q2272 can substantially reduces the number. for headends needed and generates savings in large deployments.
