Production Introduction

BWFCPC-Q2072 is a highly integrated 1-RU video edge QAM that can multiplex and scramble IP video signals and convert them to QAM channels for use in CATV systems. The unit features a flexible design and can be configured in a number of ways to suit specific end applications.

The high-quality QAM output of the edge QAM is organized into Six independent blocks of 72 contiguous channels, which can be placed anywhere in the extended CATV range. Each QAM channel can be independently muted.

BWFCPC-Q2072 is a professional-grade Edge QAM that accepts a 10GbE IP input in the clear or pre-encrypted sources and converts the selected streams into 72 QAM RF channels. The Edge QAM supports Multiple and Single Transport Stream configurations and is easy to set up, control and monitor with the 1000/100000 Base-T Ethernet port. The BWFCPC-Q2072 Edge QAM is a single rack spaced chassis that also supports optional EAS and external redundant power. Ideal uses for the BWFCPC-Q2072 Edge QAM include commercial residential properties, academic and medical facilities, local area network applications for both CATV and broadcast as well as the hospitality industries.
